Our one-day John O'Groats tour from Inverness is the perfect way to visit one of the most northerly points on British mainland! See Loch Fleet, explore Dunrobin Castle and enjoy stunning scenery on this one-day tour from Inverness; capital of the Highlands.
Our tour departs Inverness and travels north, up to Dornoch for quick comfort and photo stop, we'll continue through to Loch Fleet where you might be able to spot some seals and a range of birds – make sure you have your camera ready! We'll then continue on to the beautiful Dunrobin Castle.
A stately home in Sutherland, Dunrobin Castle is the family seat of Clan Sutherland. It resembles a French chateau with its towering spires and it overlooks the Moray Firth. You'll have time here to explore the beautiful stately home, gardens & museum (optional extra) and enjoy some refreshments in their tearoom.
We'll then resume our journey heading toward John O'Groats; the most northerly point on the British mainland. You'll have time to grab lunch, stroll along the cliff path, take your iconic photo at the signpost, enjoy dramatic coastal views, and perhaps see some local wildlife. John O’Groats is one of the best places in the UK to spot wildlife, keep your eyes out for Atlantic puffins, grey seals or even an orca!
From John O’Groats, we continue our tour taking in some of the best sites of the North of Scotland, including Duncansby Lighthouse and the Emigrants Monument. We'll then being our journey home, stopping at Brora, famous for its golf courses and magnificent coastal scenery before your John O’Groats tour ends back in Inverness.
As this is a private tour, you have complete control over the departure point. We are able to pick you up from any city-centre location, even your hotel. Just let our team know.

As we like to give you as much time off the coach as possible with the opportunity for walks, we recommend you bring warm and/or waterproof clothing, wear comfortable walking shoes and take sun-block or a hat for sunny days.

Since we cannot allow hot food on our buses you could also bring a cold packed lunch with you to make the most of your time at each stop, this would be particularly time-saving in the busier months!
