Edinburgh - Departing from South Queensferry, Rosyth or Leith Port

Edinburgh City Tour & Military Tattoo

Your Driver-Guide will collect you from your port in the morning and take you on a round trip of Edinburgh City, taking in all of the best sightseeing spots the capital has to offer. We will then travel to the Royal Mile to visit the historic Edinburgh Castle, the UK's best heritage attraction in 2014. Spend time exploring the castle and learn all about its history.

Afterwards enjoy free time for refreshments and explore the Royal Mile, the city's oldest street, before a visit to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official residence of the British Royal Family in Scotland. From the ancient to the atmospheric Old Town of Edinburgh, we continue by Duddingston Loch into the medieval port of Leith to the Royal Yacht Britannia. The Yacht was home to Her Majesty the Queen for over 40 years, take time to see how the Royal Family spent their time aboard before returning to your port, where your shore excursion ends.

Stirling, Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park

Departing from your port, we begin our Scottish shore excursion at Stirling Castle, one of the most historically significant castles in Scotland. We take plenty of time to explore the 16th Century castle, and learn all of the exploits of Robert the Bruce, and Mary Queen of Scots.

From Stirling, we travel into the heart of the Trossachs National Park to Kilmahog to see some Highland cattle up close. We then journey to Aberfoyle for refreshments and time to explore the pretty highland village. From here, we travel through the beautiful Trossachs to Loch Lomond; one of Scotland's most breathtaking lochs. We pause for spectacular views, and should time permit, a mini-cruise across the loch, before making our return journey to port.

St Andrews & the Fishing Villages of Fife

Your shore excursion departs from port to journey north across the iconic Forth Bridge, into the ancient Kingdom of Fife. We enjoy a photo stop in Aberdour before continuing to the East Neuk of Fife. We then stop in the town of Anstruther, before travelling through Pittenweem, Crail and St. Monans, once thriving fishing centres which were made prosperous by trade within the continent.

We arrive in the medieval town of St Andrews in time for lunch. Enjoy a walk around the town, home to the oldest university in Scotland and where Prince William met Kate, and view the famous Cathedral and golf course. After a few hours, your tour will journey back to port via the Lomond hills and Loch Leven.

Rosslyn Chapel & Melrose Abbey

Your Driver-Guide will collect you from your port, where your shore excursion begins with a trip to Roslin for Rosslyn Chapel. The chapel walls are covered in thousands of ancient carvings, each with a story of its own. Learn about the myths and legends surrounding Rosslyn, including tales of the Holy Grail and the Knights Templar.

Leaving Rosslyn, travel into the heart of the Scottish Borders to the historic town of Melrose. Enjoy time for refreshments and even visit the ruined Melrose Abbey, said to be the burial place of the casket containing the heart of Robert the Bruce.

Our return journey will pause for a stop at Scott's View, before heading to Glenkinchie Distillery. Enjoy a tour and tasting of a rare lowland single malt, before returning to your port, where your shore excursion ends.
