Competition 2: Film Location Photos
As it is the month of our 20th Anniversary, we're helping our passengers celebrate with us by giving away weekly prizes throughout April! Every Friday in April we will hold a different competition for you to get involved in.
It was so great to see so many amazing photos of Scottish castles for our first competition! Next up is Filming Locations! For this week all you need to do is like our Facebook page and leave a comment on the post with your best photo of a filming location in Scotland! Make sure to mention which film or series it features in too.
Scotland is the perfect backdrop for so many films and series. We stop by a few places that have been used such as Doune Castle which was used as Winterfell in the first episode of Game of Thrones, it was also used as Castle Leoch in Outlander and was featured heavily in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Glencoe is another popular one for filming and was used in the James Bond film Skyfall.
- There are many locations in Scotland that have been used for filming but your entry does not have to be a photo of a place visited on one of our tours.
- You can use the Tour Selector on our All Tours Page to help narrow down your ideas by selecting "Film Locations"
- Scotland has been used in very many Bollywood/Hindi Cinema films. We have a previous blog about Bollywood filming locations that you can check out here.
The competition is different but the prize is the same! The owner of the best photo will win a free ticket for a One Day Tour of their choice. The winner will be announced on Friday 20th of April where we will share the winning photo before the next competition begins.
If you'd like to see the range of One Day Tours that we offfer click here.

A Message from Gary Voy, founder of Timberbush Tours:
It's been a fantastic 20 years since our very first scheduled tour and we've come a long way. We couldn't have done it without all the hard work and effort put in by our staff and Driver-Guides, past and present. So thank you to everyone involved with making Timberbush the company it is today. And of course, thank you to our wonderful passengers over the past 20 years. Here's to the next 20!
