Timberbush in 2018

Here at Timberbush we are currently preparing for the high season of our 20th Anniversary year. Every year we try to do things bigger and better than the year before and with more of our lovely passengers joining our tours every year we’ll be adding more tours, more buses and more departures to make 2018 the best year ever for Timberbush.

In April 2017 we extended our Edinburgh tour range and added the Outlander, Palaces & Jacobites Experience tour. This proved to be very popular amongst fans of the hit show, excited to visit the various filming locations in Scotland.

Steve Spalding, CEO noted: “The fans of the show create an electric atmosphere.”

It became so popular we added an Outlander tour for our Glasgow passengers and a Winter Version of the Edinburgh tour with a slightly altered route and itinerary.

For 2018, we’re going BIGGER. We have added our first ever 4 day tour which will begin in April! The 4 Day York, Durham & The Lake District tour is scheduled to depart every Monday from Edinburgh during April – October. Our passengers can enjoy a full day in the medieval city of York to spend how they wish and will get to visit such places as Hadrian’s Wall, Jedburgh, Whitby, Durham and more!

Check out this new tour here.

Although no new tours for Glasgow have been announced this year (…yet) we are increasing the frequency of our Loch Lomond, The Trossachs & Stirling Castle tours and our Oban, Glencoe & West Highland Castles tours! Both tours will depart daily so our passengers can pick whatever day that suits them best during their time in Glasgow. From April - October our Skye, The Highlands & Lochs Ness tour departing from both Edinburgh and Glasgow will also have daily departures.

To facilitate all these new departures, we needed more buses! All of our buses are fuel efficient with the latest engines and therefore we replace them every 3 years to ensure efficiency and environmental friendliness.

“We take great care over the type of vehicles we select and how we maintain them, the training we offer our staff, and the overall way in which we operate the business, to ensure that Scotland stays as green and lovely as it is now.” – Gary Voy, Director & Founder

Because of this we have achieved the Green Tourism Business Scheme Gold Award and received a 5 Star rating by ECO Stars Fleet Recognition Scheme. To read more about our commitment to the environment go to:

Three years ago we had 14 buses. Today we have 23 after a £1.2m investment this year to make sure we have the perfect fleet to meet the new demands and challenges of 2018: “The new investment is significant for us, not least because these coaches are fitted out to our own specifications and reflect our commitment to continually re-fleet and replace our coaches with the most environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient vehicles available.” - Steve Spalding, CEO.
