A spectacular, limited edition four day, small-group tour of the highlights of Scotland, taking in mountains, castles and lochs.
We've teamed up with the Scottish Youth Hostels Association (SYHA) so that you can stay in some of Scotland's most unusual youth hostels, including the amazing Highland castle of Carbisdale.
This tour has 3 pick-ups depending on demand. The first departure is from SYHA Edinburgh Central Youth Hostel, the second from Stirling SYHA Youth Hostel, and the third from Glasgow SYHA Youth Hostel.
Day 1
We travel across the scenic West coast, stopping at some of Scotland's most famous and dramatic castles, to the picturesque town of Oban, with its horse-shoe bay, which will be our base for the first evening and where we can enjoy the option of an evening cruise to a local seal colony. We spend the night in Oban Youth Hostel.
Day 2
After breakfast today we travel through spectacular glens to Glen Nevis and on to Loch Ness. The route through Cannich and Beauly leads to our accommodation for tonight at Carbisdale Castle, Sutherland, once home to the King of Norway and described as "one of the most opulent youth hostels on the planet" by Lonely Planet Guide.
Day 3
Our journey today brings us back south, through the Cairngorms National Park, where we can feed the reindeer, enjoy a range of water-sports, or visit the bustling town of Aviemore. We spend the night in Cairngorm Lodge hostel.
Day 4
We travel along the River Spey to the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, with an optional visit to Edradour, Scotland's smallest distillery. Our tour ends on Thursday evening, with drop-offs in Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow as necessary.
Private room options are available in all hostels.
