Scotland's abundant soft water gives us our green hills, our forests, our shimmering lochs, tumbling streams, salmon rivers, and waterfalls; some towering, some torrential. It also gives us our unique malt whiskies.
Enjoy a relaxing day in beautiful HIGHLAND PERTHSHIRE travelling by way of GLENEAGLES, GLEN DEVON and finally GLENTURRET, where we take a tour of Scotland's OLDEST WORKING MALT WHISKY DISTILLERY (Est. 1775) and enjoy a taste too!
See LOCH TAY'S IRON AGE DWELLINGS, its CRANNOGS; travel on through entrancing villages - KENMORE, ABERFELDY and FORTINGALL; enter SCOTLAND'S LONGEST GLEN and visit EUROPE'S OLDEST TREE, ancient even when PONTIUS PILATE (they say) was born close by.
We stop at the QUEEN'S VIEW, enjoy the same spectacular views over LOCH TUMMEL and the majestic SCHIEHALLION (most shapely of Scottish Mountains, so sacred to the PICTS) that so overwhelmed QUEEN VICTORIA; walk in THE HERMITAGE, near the quaint charms of the historic cathedral town of DUNKELD; whilst from OSSIAN'S HALL, a Victorian 'folly', you can view a spectacular waterfall, where salmon leap in season, and gaze in awe at Britain's tallest tree.
